BBC 2 Identifies the issues from failing to make a Will each Friday evening at 9p.m. in the series 'You Can't take it with you.'

Sir Gerry Robinson

Two things Brits don’t like talking about: death and money.

Perhaps that’s why around 70 per cent of us will die without ever having made a will causing havoc for those we leave behind.

Deciding what assets to leave to your family when you pass away can be a very stressful process, and BBC 2’s six-part series ‘Can't Take It With You’ explores the trials and tribulations of families attempting to make their Wills.

‘Charity Doesn't Begin At Home’, broadcast on Friday 14 January, is the first episode of the series, focusing on Army Major Tom, who is bound for Baghdad and urgently needs to make a Will, as well as a mother struggling to make decisions on what to leave and to whom.

Deciding who gets what in a Will can be one of the toughest choices anyone can have to make. But making no decisions at all and dying without a Will can cause rifts that tear families apart.

Making a Will provides you with peace of mind and makes things easier for those who are left behind. Your Will is one of the most important documents you will ever sign, and the BBC2 programme highlights this, whilst showing that everyone faces difficulties when having their Wills drawn up.

'Can't Take It With You' is on at 9pm every Friday for the next 6 weeks, and will cover a wide range of topics surrounding Wills, and if you can't watch it at the time, then BBC iPlayer will be making the Programmes available online.
