Description
Education
David's school
education was at Haileybury College. He gained an
Honours degree in Law, in Birmingham. After completing
Articles in Oxford, and gaining experience in his
interest of general litigation, David jointed Painters
in 1981 soon becoming a Partner.
Career
David is the Litigation
Partner at Stourport on Severn. David has been on the
Police Station duty scheme since its instigation,
advising those in custody. He regularly appears in the
local Magistrates Courts on Criminal trials and in
mitigation on sentence, dealing with road traffic
matters up to the most serious with a recent successful
defence on a Murder Trial.
Coming from a Medical
family David has also developed a vast experience in
personal injury claims and is a skilled
negotiator .Conditional no win no fee agreements are
available and are assessed on an individual basis.
David has an ethos towards
endeavouring to negotiate settlements where
appropriate but is experienced in Civil Litigation to
Court where the case demands it.
Unlike many firms he has a
commitment to legal aid for those eligible and helps
many people with debt and other civil law problems.
Leisure
Outside of work David has
travelled the world mountaineering although family
commitments have recently kept him recently on a tighter
rein with the most recent expedition being a crossing of
the Vatnajokal Icecap on Iceland. He dreams on! He has
been a committed member of Stourport Choral and Operatic
Society for over twenty five years, currently giving his
voice and most importantly the Choir a break from his dulcet tones whilst he ferries children around the
County!
