Painters Solicitors are delighted and proud to support the Wyre Forest Phoenix Under 11 Girls Football Team!

Their coach had this to say following their 1:0 win against Nunnery Wood “Wyre Forest Phoenix u13 girls put in their best team display of the season on Saturday, when they welcomed Evesham United to Mill lane.

After a very competitive first half, which saw both teams have chances to score, the two teams cancelled each other out and went into half time at 0-0.

Phoenix nearly scored within a minute of the restart when Tarnowski drove down the left and her fantastic cross was inches from the toe of Jones.  Again the game went back and forward before, Dunlop swung in a corner. After Tarnowski got on the ball, it was diverted in by a unfortunate Evesham defender.

The girls dug deep and defended brilliantly, Jordan and Perager were rocks in defence. There was still time for Hackett to hit the post from close range and Dunlop to have a fierce shot tipped on to the bar.

The effort that they had put in could be seen at the final whistle on a lot of tired faces.

The 1:0 win takes the team back up to third and we welcome Nunnery Wood to Mill Lane this Saturday for a double header”.
