Education:
He
attended Shrewsbury School. On leaving in 1965 he
joined the Family Firm as an Articled Clerk for a five
year period during which he attended the College of Law
in both London and Guildford.
Career:
Richard
was admitted as a Solicitor in 1971, and joined his
Grandfather, Father and Uncle as a Partner in 1971. He
took over the management and development of the Firm on
his Father’s retirement in 1975. From undertaking all
types of matters in his early days he now specialises in
Commercial and Property matters.
Leisure:
Richard
is married with one son and one daughter, and has lived
locally for all his life. He has always been very keen
on sport, having played soccer and cricket (for Bewdley)
in his early days. He was Chairman of the former
Stourport Tennis, Hockey and Squash Club on more than
one occasion and for the Hockey section for many years
and did serve on the Board of Kidderminster Harriers
Football Club as a Director and Company Secretary for
eighteen years. He now plays golf and tennis regularly
whilst maintaining a keen interest in all local sporting
clubs, when he is not acting as a taxi service for his
children.
