Painters presently advise employers on a wide range of matters including:
Often having in place appropriate policies and procedures can avoid disputes with employees escalating and minimise your risk of being found liable for compensation in the event of a subsequent claim.
We therefore recommend that employers who have not recently updated their Employee Handbook, or who may not have an Employee Handbook, consider instructing us to draft one for them as it can provide a great deal of assistance in future in minimising conflict and making things clear for employees and employers as to how the company will handle various scenarios.
We offer fixed fee meetings to provide initial advice on employment matters, and can also agree a fixed fee for completing a particular task such as drafting an Employee Handbook or Contract of Employment, or drafting an Employment Tribunal Response Form. We can provide either a comprehensive advice throughout a matter or advice as and when needed by employers on an ad-hoc basis.
It is also worth noting that employment law changes frequently. For example the rules on retirement, flexible working, and discrimination have recently changed. Therefore we recommend reviewing your policies and contracts at least once every 12 month to ensure you are keeping up to date with current legal requirements.
