Prenuptial & Cohabitation Agreements
What is a Prenuptial Agreement?
A pre-nuptial (or pre-civil partnership) agreement is a contract between a couple who are about to get married or enter into a civil partnership. It is intended that this will detail out each partner’s rights in regards to joint assets and how this will be regulated in the event of their relationship breakdown.
Cohabitation Agreement For Non-Married Couples
Similar to the pre-nuptial agreement, but for couples who are choosing to live together and not get married or enter into a civil partnership, this contract will detail what is to happen to your assets should your relationship breakdown. This can be made at any time, regardless of whether you are already living together or before you move in.
